Abstract Balance

Students will explore the three types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical and radial.

Sketch your design in your sketchbook

One type of balance must be larger than the others

Once the sketch is complete, move to construction paper - use 4 colours

Cut out background shapes to separate your sections

Cut out at least 15 shapes per type of balance

Glue down the background shapes

Glue down the smaller shapes

Maintain a 1/2" border and keep even spacing of the sections - cut straight!
