•What is the ritual for?

•Where is the ritual happening? When?

•How would this ritual be important for your community?

•Design your mask in your sketchbook

–Make sure you have your theme in mind

•Must have relief (raised areas)

•Painted with acrylics – layer to create depth

•Your are encouraged to include mixed media in this project (wire, feathers, hair, etc.)

•Response – write an artist’s statement (a brief paragraph describing your work)
